A story about the beautiful young girl ‘Hanifa’ that was abducted at Kawaji, in Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state, has been making rounds on the internet since Saturday December 4th, 2021.
Following the abduction and murder of Hanifa, the spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest of the abductors in a statement on Thursday, January 20 2022, revealed that the leader, Tanko, the proprietor of a private school where the beautiful angel was tutored, poisoned the child to death on December 18 2021, because she recognized his face.
Speaking of the arrest, Hanifa’s uncle revealed that Tanko was among the first group of people who came to sympathize with the aggrieved family following her abduction. “He was full of tears when he visited the family to console them over the abduction,” Sulaiman, the victim’s uncle said.
This story has made waves since investigations were carried out and results showed Tanko and his accomplice(s) abducted, killed, dismembered and buried Hanifa’s body in the school compound.
Hanifa’s life has been cut short of the dreams of becoming a beautiful, educated, and successful woman in society. The moral decadence in society has again led to the death of an innocent child because when greed becomes a habit, people tend to become less concerned about others’ safety.
The question of today is: What should be the fate of kidnappers? Should it be life imprisonment or instant death?
