Sweet or sour; what’s your taste like?
A lot of us can beat our chests that our taste is simply the best and nothing more. Just like sweet is the opposite of bitter, sour too can fit in. Sometimes our taste can really be awful; don’t stress it too much, because every human is different; our tastes and preferences vary.
Your palate says so much about you you know? As for me my cravings are numerous; from food, to dress sense, wants and needs for a particular thing. That’s just the way it is. Strange right?
“Through our food preferences and choices, we reveal inner thoughts, feelings, wishes and desires,” Dr. Alan Hirsch. You see, it isn’t just about food, it goes beyond that.
Will I be exaggerating if I told you that the foods and choices we make simply tell what our taste is like? Sweet or sour.
It provides a window to our sub-consciousness and even to the point of our unconscious state.
Couple of weeks ago, a friend asked me “what my taste in a man was?” I couldn’t help but ignore the question because I could barely come up with a straight forward or distinct response to the question or maybe I could but since what I perceived as “sweet taste” could be “sour” in her own understanding I decided to shrug it off; deep down I wanted to tell her, “my taste in a man; smart, dark skinned, black hair, good body structure, great sense of humor” the list would go on and on and maybe it wouldn’t have made any sense to her because it was just my taste and not hers.
We all have our likes and dislikes and have compulsive cravings when it comes to different things and foods, and I bet everyone knows what their taste is, and if they don’t then theres need to because your taste speaks volumes about you whether sweet or sour, your taste is YOU and nobody else.
You should never change your taste just cause someone else doesn’t feel it tastes sweeter for them.
So what’s your Palate?
